Classroom Expectations
We have spent a great deal of time at the beginning of the school reviewing expectation for the classroom. The Classroom expectations are provided for students on a poster affixed to the front wall of the classroom at all times. The expectations are as follows:
When students are exhibiting behavior that is aligned to the school-wide or classroom expectations, they are awarded Class Dojo points. At the end of the day, dojo points are converted (1:1) for Bulldog Bucks. Bulldog Bucks may be traded in for a variety of rewards during Arrival. ClassDojo
The class uses classdojo. We are still using Bulldog Bucks as well. I explained to the students that as adults we use 2 different kinds of money (Cash, and Credit/Debit Cards.) The students earn "credit" on the classdojo throughout the day and then at dismissal, they receive their "cash" Bulldog Bucks. The kids have reacted positively to this tweak. It also works well for me because I can use the classdojo app on my phone, and I do not have to interrupt teaching to reward the students. For more information please click the link below.
